Poojya Guru
The present Swamiji of the Swarnavalli Peetha, H.H.Shreemajjagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Gangadharendra Saraswati Swamiji, is the 54th in the illustrious line of Gurus. On 1st February 1991, Shri Shri Jayendra Sarawati Mahaswamiji of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetha, ordained Sanyasa Deeksha to the already appointed Veda Vidvan Shri Parameshvara Bhatt (Name in Poorvashrama). He has injected highest order dynamism into the activities of the Shrimatha, brought about sea changes in the attitude of the disciples, devotees and tourists towards rituals, religion, culture, spirituality etc., and is making the society more vibrant. Besides this, His Holiness piously engages himself in Japa Tapa, and Shree Chakra Pooja, for about six to seven hours a day.
Poojya Paramaguru
H.H.Shri Sarwajnendra Saraswati Swamiji was the 53rd in this spiritual tradition. Shri Swamiji adorned this Peetha for over seven decades. His Holiness witnessed objectively all the events which took place in the post-independent India. Shri Swarnavalli Samsthana evolved as a Maha-Samsthana, during his tenure.The Swamiji devotedly performed Shri Chakra Pooja (Navavarna Pooja) continuously for fifty-five years long. By his sheer devotion to the Goddess, Shri Lalitamba, he was known as Lalitacharanadaasa. He was instrumental in starting and nursing a wing of the Shrimatha, now known as the Rajarajeshwari Sanskrit Maha-Pathashala, which is engaged in providing facilities for the study of Sanskrit and the Vedas. The Swamiji has composed many devotional poems on Shri Rajarajeshwari. A poem entitled Yati Parichaya and a play, by name Prahlada Charitam were written, by him. He was equally known for his punctuality in performing the daily activities.
